Jeep Thing, It's a BBP Thing!

It all started on January 22, 1944 (D-Day) at ANZIO, Italy. My grandfather (James L. Barnes) took the Anzio beach head in a Jeep MB. He then spent 4-years in Europe driving jeeps for the Army Corp. Eng.

When grandpa came home he started his family and had a couple jeeps through out his life. My mother learned to drive with jeeps and tells stories of grandpa plowing snow for the neighbors in his jeep.

As I grew in life, I shared a very close relationship with my grandfather. Back in 1998 I purchased my first Jeep, it was a 1959 Jeep Cj5. When my grandfather saw it, he told me with a wild look on his face “Give Me That Jeep Buddy And I’ll Make It Climb A Wall!” With those words I chose a path in life to carry on the family Jeep legacy.

Here is BBP’s Jeep Story!

Well my jeep story begins with a 1959 CJ5  A.K.A "Ol-Girl"

Here's the short of a long story!

Janice calls it "The $$ Pit", but likes to play with it!

I start the Jeep legacy with my daughter.

I dig playing in the sand dunes with it.

.

Then BBP designed & built a 1942 1/2-scale Jeep MB for the daughter.

But she keep breaking it, so BBP must beef it up.

Here is the BBP collection.
